Thermal Dawn is a complete replacement for your gas boiler, not a component you need to spec, source, and coordinate separately. Everything arrives together as one integrated kit, ready for your licensed installer to fit.
What's Included
From $12,000 for the equipment; installation depends on the house. Installed by your own licensed installer.
The equipment price includes the heat pump, the Australian-made thermal store, the controller and app, with delivery included (remote locations carry a delivery cost). It doesn't include installation, electrical work or pipework: your installer quotes those, and you pay them directly. Commissioning is done remotely, with your installer on site.
At the heart of it is the heavily insulated store, 25 kWh of heat in the 500L launch tank, banking your cheapest energy as heat and running your home through the evening with the heat pump off through the expensive hours. It fits in a utility room, garage, or outside in a weatherproof enclosure, and it's built to last decades.
Hot water can run off the same system as an optional add-on, so one gas line gets capped instead of two. Here's how it all fits around what your home already has:

Home Heating
Through your existing radiators and underfloor circuits, exactly as before. Just no gas bill.
Home Cooling
Thermal Dawn can run in reverse cycle to cool your home in summer, through hydronic underfloor cooling or fan coil units. It's in development and we quote it per home.
Hot Water
One system, one gas line capped instead of two, one company. Hot water is an optional add-on, worth raising at your site assessment.
Pool Heating
Already have a pool? Thermal Dawn can extend to pool heating, keeping your water at temperature using stored solar, not gas or a separate electric heater at peak rates.
One system can cover all of these. Your site assessment maps out which of them make sense for your home.
Installed by Your Own Licensed Installer.
Thermal Dawn is installed by your own licensed installer: a hydronic heating professional who understands both the hydronic side and the electrical requirements of a heat pump system. Installation isn't part of the equipment price. Your installer quotes it, and you pay them directly.
What installation involves
Placing the thermal store in the agreed location, placing the heat pump, connecting and pressure-testing the hydronic pipework, the electrical connection and switchboard check, setting up the smart controls and app, a full system test across all zones, and a walkthrough with you.
Warranty
Comprehensive coverage across all components, details confirmed with your quote. Because Thermal Dawn uses standard hydronic components, any licensed HVAC technician can service it. No proprietary lock-in.

Most people who talk to us are holding a quote from someone else. That's a good position to be in, but the quotes are rarely comparing the same thing. Before you weigh price against price, check what each one actually covers:
- Does it include storage? A heat pump without thermal storage heats on demand, which means it draws power at the exact hours power costs the most. Same comfort, very different running cost.
- Does it include hot water? Often quoted separately, or left on your existing gas unit, which keeps your gas connection and its daily supply charge alive.
- Does it include ductwork or new emitters? Worth asking directly. Ducted quotes in particular can carry significant work that isn't obvious in the headline number.
- Is the price fixed? Ask whether switchboard work, pipework changes and access are inside the number or flagged as variations later.

What it costs to run

When do I pay, and is the deposit refundable?
A $990 booking deposit, including GST, holds a place in our build schedule. It is refundable in full, for any reason, until we place the production order that includes your system, and it is credited against your system price when you accept your proposal.
